The successful candidate will spearhead the development of integrated didactic and experiential learning courses that will prepare undergraduate nursing in this specialty area. The successful candidate will also participate in the department’s team-taught senior seminar and capstone and the NCLEX Prep course and teach other courses in their area of interest and specialization. This new facility houses the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and future nursing undergraduate and graduate programs in development. The Center also features the latest classroom design and technologies and showcases an extensive simulation suite for maternal and newborn specialty education with expansive clinical simulation laboratories and research facilities.
Ideal candidates will be able to make meaningful connections between best practices in nursing education dedicated to the dignity of the whole person and in support of the Catholic Mission and identity of the College. As the student body at Providence College grows increasingly diverse, we have a strong preference for candidates who demonstrate a deep commitment to and proven ability in supporting the success of students from historically marginalized economic, social, and cultural groups.
